Too awesome for words

From MIT Media Lab (via /.), Clocky!

Clocky is a clock for people who have trouble getting out of bed. When the snooze bar is pressed, Clocky rolls off the table and finds a hiding spot, a new one every day.

It’s adorable, too! Details here.

I could definitely have used one of these in college…

That’s totally awesome! In college, I would actually hide my alarm clock in different, hard to reach places from time to time because I got so adept at shutting it off.

Hi! Of course I remember our long nights in Stern dining hall munhcing on chicken fingers and thinking and buses. You’re back in Singapore? Well, you don’t seem so far away when I see your blog. I’m gonna subscribe. :)

There’s also an alarm clock that’s a jigsaw puzzle. When the alarm rings, the puzzle pieces are SCATTERED over the entire room and it won’t stop ringing until you find everything and assemble it properly on the clock again.

Lilly: Hello!! Likewise for your blog. :)

good idea, but ugh, it looks like a chocolate rice-krispie bar on wheels

A couple years back I had an alarm clock that was built into a tennis ball. It didn’t have a snooze bar per se, but when it went off, you could grab the tenis ball and then you’d have the satisfaction of flinging it somewhere against a wall, (which amounted to a “snooze”).

    Talk about satisfying UI design.

Of course ten minutes later it’d go off again, now sitting somewhere random in your room…
